Best Tahini Vinaigrette Dressing

Ever since I made this tahini vinaigrette, I cannot STOP making it, lol! I’ve tested it on friends, Nick, you name it and everyone approves! The best part about it is that it’s super simple to make, not a ton of ingredients, and things you probably have on hand already. Let’s dive in…

Tahini Vinaigrette Specifics

As I mentioned, this dressing is insanely easy, so let’s go through each of the ingredients that you’ll need:

  • Tahini: Of course! It is a tahini vinaigrette after all ;)…but not just any tahini! Tahini is made from toasted hulled ground sesame seeds. Sesame seeds have so many amazing benefits such as hormone balancing, easy to digest, high in protein and an amazing source of fatty acids (which help digestion.) I recommend going for an organic tahini that is 100% sesame seeds such as this one. I also love The Tahini Goddess Tahini, which you can find out more about here.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Again, go for one that is 100% cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil has SO MANY amazing benefits ranging from decreasing inflammation to improving heart health.
  • Apple Cider/Apple Vinegar: I used a fresh apple vinegar from Temecula Olive Oil Company (which is AMAZING), but apple cider vinegar works perfectly too. It’s going to balance out the fats in the dressing.
  • Lemon Juice:  I used fresh lemon juice from one small lemon, which is around 1 tbsp of juice. This is great for digestion and minimizing inflammation!
  • Maple Syrup: I always love adding a little sweetness to my dressing. Maple syrup is a low glycemic sweetener, but ff you prefer zero glycemic, feel free to sub in monk fruit sweetener.

Finally, my suggestion for this dressing is topping on a massaged kale salad (stems removed!) with some nuts (such as pine nuts or almonds) and chopped dates. Trust me!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp creamy tahini
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 lemon, juices
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Dressing Time!

  1. Add all of your ingredients to a deep jar or dish.
  2. Whisk well until there are no clumps.
  3. Enjoy over your favorite salad!

Notes

You can store in the fridge if you'd like, you may need to add water to thin it out as it will thicken over time.
